Terms and conditions 

 

1. I understand and agree to the Terms and Conditions, and state that I am responsible for the payment of all fees.
2. R500 enrolment fee to be paid before attending classes
3. Outline Dance Centre (ODC) will not be held responsible for any losses, injuries that may occur on the premises or at any rehearsal or theatre premises where ODC classes or rehearsals may take place. 
4. A termly fee is quoted. Fees must be paid by the due date given on the invoice. OVERDUE FEES WILL BE SUBJECT TO INTEREST AT THE RATE OF 10% PER TERMs CUMULATIVE AND MAY RESULT IN THE STUDENT BEING SUSPENDED UNTIL THE ACCOUNT HAS BEEN BROUGHT BACK INTO ORDER.
5. Our quarterly fees cover eight weeks of Dance Tuition per term. However, we reserve the right to extend the term by an additional one or two weeks if necessary. If this extension occurs, the added weeks will be charged accordingly. This policy ensures that our studio can accommodate special events, unforeseen circumstances, or extended learning opportunities while maintaining the quality of our programs.

7. EFT's into above account with the students name and surname as reference. 5% surcharge for all cash deposits
8. There will be a fee increase in the 2nd or 4th term, yearly. This excludes the fee increase when a pupil moves to a higher grade with a higher fee structure. Fees escalate according to the grade. 
9. Due to students falling into different examination grades, competitive age group and sections, CLASS TIMES/DAYS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. 
10. There will be no remuneration of fees due to public holidays, holidays, eisteddfods, competitions, shows and student non-attendance
11. Funds received are consistently assigned to the earliest outstanding balance, irrespective of the payer's allocation request.In the event of teachers' illness or being unable to teach at short notice, every effort will be made to find a replacement teacher. However, classes may not be made up if a suitable replacement cannot be found in time. A locum teacher will be arranged in the case of extended illness.
12. No parents are permitted to watch classes due to the distraction caused. No exceptions will be made. Watching day is at the last dance class of every term.
13. Regular attendance at class and rehearsal is required and is essential for the progress of the student.
14. Examination/Competition entry fees will not be accepted if all current dance class fees are not fully paid up.
15. A strict dress code applies and must be observed by all students of the Dance Centre. Leotard, hot pants, hair in a bun.
16. Pupil and parent/guardian give permission to use images of pupil publicly.
17. If a student skips classes and is consequently unprepared, the principal can withdraw her from a competition, exam, or performance.
18. A student must obtain prior permission from Outline Dance Centre before using any choreography taught on the premises elsewhere for any purpose.  
19. This is not an annual contract and is binding until notice is given. THE ONUS IS ON THE SIGNATORY OF THE ENROLMENT FORM TO SUBMIT RESIGNATION IN WRITING TO OUTLINE DANCE CENTRE AND TO CONFIRM THAT WRITTEN AND FEE NOTICE HAS BEEN RECEIVED
20. Any student / pupil / account with outstanding or overdue fees will not be allowed to attend class until all owing amounts have been settled

CANCELLATION / TERMINATION OF ENROLMENT
Should a student wish to discontinue classes at Outline Dance Centre (ODC), the parent/guardian must provide at least 20 business days’ written notice of cancellation. Notice must be submitted in writing via email or delivered in person, and the parent/guardian is responsible for confirming receipt of the notice by ODC.
Upon cancellation, ODC reserves the right to charge a full terms cancellation fee.  This fee accounts for the operational and planning losses incurred due to the early termination of enrolment.
Should the student discontinue attendance without giving proper notice, or fail to settle the cancellation fee, the full term’s fees will remain payable and may be handed over for collection.

This agreement is not annual and continues on a term-to-term basis until formal written cancellation is received and acknowledged.
Enrolment may be paused or terminated by ODC for valid reasons, including but not limited to prolonged non-attendance, disciplinary issues, or non-payment of fees.
